Millers Landing is a Corner Inlet shoreline in the northern part of Wilsons Promontory, reached by a walk from Five Mile Carpark. It is home to the southernmost stand of mangroves in the world, and migratory birds use the inlet. The standard route is an easy Grade 2, 4 km return walk; allow about 1.5 hours. The longer 6 km Vereker Outlook outing is a separate route.

Down to the inletThe track winds through open banksia and stringybark woodland, then drops to the mangroves.

The track winds through open banksia and stringybark woodland, then drops to the mangroves. The final sandy, gravelly descent is steep in places and can be slippery when wet. At the shore, the trees limit how far you can walk along the beach. Treat exposed mudflats as a low-tide look, not a long shore wander.

What to noticeSpring and summer are especially good for nectar-feeding birds.

Spring and summer are especially good for nectar-feeding birds. At low tide, the mangrove canopy and exposed inlet flats make a good contrast. There are no facilities at the landing, so plan this as a short nature walk rather than a service stop.
