Indian Creek Campground is a seasonal National Park Service campground on the Grand Loop Road, about eight miles south of Mammoth Hot Springs toward Norris. At 7,300 feet near the base of the Gallatin Mountains, it has views of Electric Peak and a quieter, more primitive feel than many campgrounds in the park. Fishing and hiking are nearby, and all sites are reservable through Recreation.gov. This is a good fit if you want a simpler overnight base rather than a full-service stay.
Potable water, vault toilets, food-storage lockers and trash service are seasonal. There is no camp store, food or firewood for sale, showers, dump station, laundry, internet or cell service. Generators are not allowed, and bear-attracting items must be secured in the food lockers.
Two sites are designated accessible, with an accessible vault toilet beside them; paths are compacted gravel and dirt with limited grade changes. RV and trailer spaces have 30- or 35-foot maximum lengths, and some sites may not be level. Site size and spacing vary, so check the exact site against your tent or rig before reserving.
