Bridalveil Creek Campground

This 110-site campground sits near Bridalveil Creek on Glacier Point Road, in red fir and lodgepole pine forest at 7,200 feet. It makes a useful base for the road’s hikes and viewpoints; Glacier Point is about seven miles east. From Yosemite Valley, allow about 45 minutes’ drive. No services are nearby.

Reservations are required for every site type, and the season usually runs from mid-July to early September. The mix includes two group sites and three horse sites. A regular site is for up to six people and two vehicles parked on its pad. RVs up to 35 feet and trailers up to 24 feet are allowed, though not every site fits the longest rigs; check the individual site details. Pets are allowed on leash outside group sites, and there are no designated accessible campsites.

Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table and food locker. Seasonal bathrooms provide flush toilets and drinking water; there are no showers. There’s no food service, camp store, firewood or ice for sale here, so stock up in Yosemite Valley or Wawona. Cold nights come up repeatedly in camper reports, another effect of the 7,200-foot setting.
