Yellow Point Lookout is a small coastal viewpoint just off the Abel Tasman Coast Track, above a cove and bay. It is reached on foot as a side stop along the Mārahau–Anchorage section, not as a separate drive-up visit. DOC gives that section as 12.4 km and about four hours, so count the lookout as part of a substantial coastal walk.

The lookout's large natural rocks make a place to sit and snack while looking over the water. One walker identified Stilwell Bay from here. For a photograph, keep the wooded rocks in the foreground and include the channel and island ridge beyond; the view reads better than a tight crop of open water.

The Coast Track passes through beech forest and tall kānuka around Yellow Point, then winds through small gullies before opening to more coastal views. Abel Tasman sits on Separation Point Granite, which DOC links to the park's forest patterns and the color of its beaches and streambeds.

Treat this as a backcountry track stop: the official route guide does not list a toilet or drinking-water point at Yellow Point, so bring what you need for the section. DOC classifies the Coast Track as intermediate and does not allow dogs.
