Wear sturdy footwear with good traction; trekking poles help many hikers on the descent. Start early—parking near Bubble Pond/Bubbles fills fast. Avoid this route in wet or icy conditions.
Best time to hike
Late spring through fall offers the best footing and the clearest views, with peak use typically June–October. Go early in the morning for cooler temps, easier parking, and softer light on the ledges. Midday summer sun can be intense on the exposed upper slabs.
