Trail guide
This 600 m loop from Braeloine Visitor Centre car park climbs to a viewpoint over Glen Tanar. Allow about 20 minutes. It is a quick add-on if you are already at the visitor centre; the short climb is the point, not an extended forest outing.
The waymarked route follows grassy ground and has a few steep climbs. At the viewpoint, look out over the glen. The loop returns to the car park; this is the Juniper route, separate from the longer Knockie Viewpoint walk.
The Braeloine Visitor Centre car park is off Glen Tanar Road and is paid. The centre has toilets, drinking water, heritage displays and visitor information. Dogs are allowed; keep them close or on a short lead during the ground-nesting bird season, usually April through July.
