Hiking Freshwater Lake Trail
The loopFreshwater Lake Trail is an easy loop from the Ingonish Beach day-use area.
Freshwater Lake Trail is an easy loop from the Ingonish Beach day-use area. Parks Canada lists it at 1.7 km (1.1 mi) and 30–40 minutes. It follows the ocean and lake through the woods, passes a beaver pond, then returns along the old paved road. The route is compacted fine gravel with handrails and a 5% grade; Parks Canada describes it as wheelchair accessible.
