LeCount Hollow is a broad Atlantic beach below steep, grass-topped dunes at Maguire Landing in Wellfleet. It opens onto a long sandy reach toward Newcomb Hollow, with surf, surfers and plenty of room for a beach walk. The main tradeoff is the steep route from the upper parking area down to the shore, then back up again.
Plan for a sandy climb on the return; this is a demanding approach if steep footing is difficult for you. Restrooms are reported near the top of the dune, and lifeguards serve this group of Wellfleet ocean beaches during beach season.
At the water, the view opens across the wide sand and Atlantic surf, with pebbles and the dune edge adding texture. The beach continues north toward Newcomb Hollow, so you can make this a quick look or a longer shoreline walk. For a photo, the dune's grass-and-sand face makes a stronger foreground from above; descend to the beach for the broad sweep of surf and open sand.
