Annie Falls Picnic Area is a small roadside picnic area on south Highway 62, above Annie Creek's forested canyon. It's a good place for a quick lunch or stretch, but don't plan it as a hike to the waterfall or expect an open view. Picnic tables are here; no food service, toilet, or drinking water was confirmed at this stop. Highway 62 is plowed in winter, but snow can narrow the road, so check conditions before setting out.
Three streams join upstream to form Annie Creek, which spills over boulders inside the canyon. For the best chance of seeing the water, pause by the table nearest the likely sightline and follow the sound through the trees. Past the guardrails, lodgepole pines make for a quieter spot.
Annie Falls drops about 53 feet over boulders deep in the canyon. From the picnic area, most of the drop is screened; listen for the water and look for a brief flash of white, rather than a clear waterfall view. This is a roadside stop above the canyon, not a route to the base of the falls.
