Best time to go
The overlook is on East Rim Drive, which can close around November or earlier when snow arrives and opens in sections in spring. Check road conditions before planning a late-fall or early-season visit.

Guide
Reflection Point is a named roadside overlook on East Rim Drive, between Victor View and Kerr Notch. Its long, curving masonry parapet sits above Crater Lake and gives you another angle toward Phantom Ship. This is a brief stop along the road, not a hike. If you've already made several rim stops, you can skip another; the loop has plenty of viewpoints.
The name comes from how light can change across the water, the cliff and Phantom Ship at certain times of day. That effect isn't guaranteed, so treat it as a possible bonus. For a photo, keep some water around Phantom Ship to show the island in its setting.
Reflection Point was built in 1937–38. Landscape architect Francis G. Lange designed seven parking overlooks along this stretch, with raised walks and masonry parapets that separate visitors from parked cars. This one’s curved walk and parapet extend about 300 feet, making it one of the road’s largest planned stops.
