This is a flat, wheelchair-accessible boardwalk loop through a tropical hardwood hammock, reached by a short boardwalk across open wetland. The park lists the full walk as 0.5 miles round trip; the mapped route and independent trail guides come out closer to 0.4, so treat both as estimates. Allow about 15 to 20 minutes if you pause. It is a worthwhile stop to see the hammock up close, not a long hike.

Biting flies and mosquitoes can be present year-round and are often worst in hot, humid summer weather. Poison ivy may grow through gaps in the boardwalk rail, so keep hands inside the railing.
