Skenes Creek Foreshore Caravan Park

This seasonal campground sits between the Great Ocean Road and Skenes Creek’s foreshore, about 6 km east of Apollo Bay. It’s a camping base with direct beach and creek access; surf can be heard from pitches near the shore. The park has limited sites, so book early for peak dates.

The campground is compact, and pitches can feel tight for larger vans. Check site dimensions when booking. Some foreshore-side pitches are screened by shrubs; others sit nearer Great Ocean Road. Dogs are welcome year-round, up to two per booking, and campfires are allowed under park-office guidelines.

The park operates seasonally in spring and summer, but exact opening dates vary. Confirm the season before planning a stay.

The facilities include updated bathroom blocks, laundry, a camp kitchen and a covered barbecue area. It’s set up for self-catering rather than a café stop, so bring the food you’ll want for your stay.

The park reopened after a 2022–23 redevelopment with modular reception and amenities buildings. They were chosen to allow changes if future coastal-hazard information affects how the foreshore is managed.
