Guide
Rainbow Cove is a remote beach on Isle Royale’s west end, with rounded rocks along the whole shore. Keep it in your plans if you’re exploring the Feldtmann Lake side or paddling past; this is a hike or water-access stop, not a roadside pull-in.
On a clear day, you can see Rock of Ages Lighthouse and Minnesota’s shoreline from the beach. Sunset is a good time to linger here. For a photo, bring the rounded stones into the foreground and leave room across the water for the distant view; the clear-day conditions matter.
