Pyramid Lake is the close-to-town escape everyone hopes to find: calm, clear water framed by the dramatic face of Pyramid Mountain. Formed by retreating glaciers and draining via Pyramid Creek into the Athabasca River, it has that classic Rockies look without a long drive.
