A Note of History

During World War II, Patricia Lake hosted an experimental prototype for “Project Habbakuk,” an ice-and-wood-pulp (pykrete) aircraft carrier. The project was abandoned, but it’s a quirky footnote that adds intrigue to an otherwise tranquil setting.
