Practicalities

There are no services on the island—no water, trash cans, or restrooms. Parking is on the shore near the bridge, and it’s limited. The shelter is sometimes reserved for ceremonies via Parks Canada, so you may find events in progress.

Sunrise and sunset bring soft, golden light and glassy reflections when the wind is calm. Clear nights can be excellent for stargazing over the lake. Bring a longer lens for birds and a wider lens for grand landscapes.
