Getting there
Ten Mile Road is unmaintained in winter; the published campground directions say only four-wheel-drive vehicles can reach it then. Check current road conditions before heading out.

Guide
Ten Mile Campground is a Forest Service campground at 5,294 feet, beside Ten Mile Creek under sequoias and Jeffrey pines. It is five miles from Hume Lake and ten from Grant Grove Visitor Center, so it works as a simple base in the Hume Lake road corridor. The creek, fishing access and forest setting are the draw.
The campground has tent-only sites and spaces for RVs and trailers, plus seasonal vault or composting toilets, picnic tables, a grill, parking and animal-safe food storage. A potable-water supply is not confirmed, and campers report there is none, so arrive with drinking water. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov.
In 1910, Hume Bennett Mill built a 59-mile flume from Hume Lake down Tenmile Creek to the Kings River, joining an older flume route toward Sanger. This stretch was so steep that only a few people rode the flumes down it, and remnants remain in some places.
