Trail guide
From Luss South Car Park, the River Path is a roughly 0.8-mile out-and-back along Luss Water to a footbridge and back. Allow about 30 minutes. The mapped bank-side leg is about 0.4 mile each way; the total includes the return on the same path. It is a quick way to get out of the village and alongside the water without taking on the longer heritage circuit.
The path follows the river past sheep-grazed meadows, then reaches the footbridge where the village paths meet. The route is flat and surfaced, one of Luss’s short all-abilities walks suitable for walkers, wheelchair users and buggy pushers. Turn back at the bridge for the River Path; crossing it leads into the separate Luss Glebe walk and adds another route. There is no climb or difficult terrain on the riverside section.
Start at Luss South Car Park by the village information point and follow the River Path signs. Keep dogs under close control around grazing sheep. Cafés and hotels are in the village for after the walk; there is no food stop along the riverside path.
