Point Backcountry Campground is a 20-site tent camp on a wooded point at Upper Kananaskis Lake. The sites are scattered among trees, with openings to the water and mountain views. It’s a good pick for a first backcountry night without a long approach.
Expect pit toilets, secure food storage, grey-water disposal, firepits and firewood. Campers also describe shared cooking and eating areas. The listed water source is the lake or river, and treatment isn’t specified, so bring drinking water or a way to treat what you collect. There’s no food for sale at camp, so pack what you’ll need.
