Guide
At the barrier where Lake Kozjak meets Lake Milanovac, this roughly 10-meter waterfall drops over a mossy ledge in several white streams. It is one of Plitvice’s principal waterfalls and belongs to the Lower Lakes walk, so it makes sense as a stop along that route rather than a separate drive-up destination.
The clearest broad view is from the path along Lake Milanovac’s southern side, looking back across the water. Step far enough back to keep the lake in the frame; that shows the full cascade and its place in the barrier better than a close crop.
The falls are part of a walking corridor through the Lower Lakes, not a standalone roadside pullout. Keep an eye out for the smaller channels as well as the main drop: water crosses this barrier in more than one stream before reaching the lake.
Plitvice’s stepped lakes are held by porous tufa barriers built as calcium carbonate settles out of the water. The process continues through the interaction of water, air, sediment and small living organisms. Here, the waterfall marks one of the visible edges of that changing landscape.
