About Jacks Point Track
Jacks Point Track is a shared gravel trail between Jardine Park in Kelvin Heights and the southern Jacks Point end near Lodge Road and Homestead Bay Road. The route runs along the Lake Wakatipu shore with views toward the Remarkables, Kingston, and the Eyre Mountains. The official trail length is 6.3 km one way (about 3.9 miles); walking the stored out-and-back experience is about 12.6 km (7.8 miles) and generally takes 4–6 hours, depending on pace, stops, wind, and whether you arrange transport.

Start at Jardine Park at the end of Poplar Drive, follow the continuous shared-use gravel track to the southern Jacks Point end, and return on the same corridor unless using transport. The trail undulates with steep climbs and descents, tight bends, narrow sections, and occasional loose or rocky surfaces. The route is shared with cyclists; give way, keep children close near exposed edges, and stay on the signed trail.
