Río Pingo Restaurant & Minimarket is a restaurant and small shop on Ruta Y-150 at Km 73, in the Grey/Pingo sector. It is a convenient place for lunch or coffee while visiting the Grey area, including before a Grey Glacier boat trip. If you plan to eat here, check that it is open before relying on it.
The menu lists a buffet with soup, a main course, salads, homemade bread and dessert, alongside pizza, burgers, chicken wraps and coffee. A buffet is the fuller meal when available. The seasonal menu can change, and individual dishes may sell out.
The minimarket carries snacks, drinks and basic trekking supplies, and the stop also sells local crafts and souvenirs. That makes it useful for a small resupply as well as a sit-down break. Visitors report indoor seating, public restrooms and parking at the restaurant.
Visitors use Río Pingo as a meal or rest stop while touring Lago Grey or heading to glacier cruises. Its roomy dining area and broad windows make a comfortable pause between outdoor stops. Experiences with the food and service vary, and meal-period queues or unavailable choices can slow things down, so leave some slack if you have a tight schedule.
