Canyon General Store is a 1957 general store on Grand Loop Road in Canyon Village. It combines groceries, clothing and souvenirs with a sit-down burger diner, making it a practical place to restock or take a meal break rather than a destination that needs a separate outing.
The counter is known for its nostalgic burger-diner feel and ice cream. The store also carries groceries, apparel and souvenirs. A bottle-filling station, public restroom and wheelchair-accessible building make this a convenient stop within the village. The current menu is not published in the park information, and visitors have reported that food and grocery prices can feel high.
The store opened in 1957, and its period architecture reflects the postwar road-trip era that brought visitors west. It operates seasonally, generally from early May to mid-October; check the park's current operating dates before relying on it for a meal or supplies.
