Le Relais is a timber day-use shelter near the far end of Lake O’Hara’s 11 km access road. It makes a useful pause before choosing a hike: the seasonal shuttle stops here, and the Lake O’Hara Trails Club is a first stop for trail-condition and wildlife-sighting updates.

Plan the approach, then warm upPrivate vehicles and bicycles are not permitted on the access road.

Private vehicles and bicycles are not permitted on the access road. Reserve the seasonal shuttle in advance, or plan for a 22 km walk out and back from the parking lot before any additional hiking. Shuttle and shelter operation is seasonal, generally from mid-June into early October; exact dates vary year to year.

Inside, visitors can warm up, check trail maps and buy light snacks or hot and cold drinks. Carrot cake is a recurring favorite, but counter offerings are seasonal. Bring cash: the counter is cash-only.
