A small roadside perch on Cliff Drive, Eagle Hawk Lookout dishes up big, cinematic views across the Jamison Valley with the Three Sisters front and center. It’s the quieter cousin to Echo Point—same iconic scenery, fewer tour buses.

The Experience

This is a quick-stop viewpoint: a short stroll from the road to a compact lookout railing. There are no facilities—no toilets, water, or picnic tables—so think of it as a photo-and-soak-it-in stop rather than a linger-all-day destination. Expect mud underfoot after rain.

Best Time to Visit

It’s open 24 hours, and the light is best at sunrise or late afternoon when the cliffs warm up and the valley breathes mist. Weekends, especially early afternoon, draw more people; weekdays and early mornings are reliably mellow. Most visits take well under an hour.

Wildlife

Scan the thermals for native birdlife—cockatoos are common, and you might spot raptors riding the updrafts. In the surrounding bush you can sometimes encounter lyrebirds, wallabies, and small reptiles along nearby walking areas.
