Euroka campground

Euroka campground is a group of five grassy camping areas near the Nepean River, in the Glenbrook part of Blue Mountains National Park. Appletree Flat, Bennett Ridge, Darug, Nioka and Red Gum each have their own parking, with unmarked tent sites a short 5–15 m walk away. It suits campers looking for a simple bush base for nearby walks and riding, rather than a powered or serviced campground.

The tent spots are unmarked and the ground varies. If you need a level place to pitch, arrive early enough to look around before setting up; some campers report that flatter ground can take searching.

Each area has non-flush toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues and fire rings. The rainwater tank is for washing, not drinking, so bring water for drinking and cooking. There are no showers or power. Use the provided fire rings or barbecues for cooking; campfires are not allowed.

Eastern grey kangaroos graze in the grassy clearings, and cockatoos and kookaburras may visit the camps. Sightings vary, and the birds can take unattended food, so put it away when you are not eating.

From Glenbrook, take Ross Street and follow Burfitt Parade and Bruce Road; the campground is about 4.2 km beyond the park gates on an unsealed road listed for 2WD access. The Glenbrook gate locks overnight, so arrive during its seasonal opening hours even if you have a campsite booking.

The campground is a starting point for nearby walks and cycling. Red Hands Cave track and Tunnel View lookout make walking options, while the Oaks firetrail is used for mountain biking. These are outings from camp, not facilities in each camping area.
