Ruby’s Inn is a large, multi-building hotel and resort in Bryce Canyon City, just outside Bryce Canyon National Park. The campus grew into a visitor base, with lodging, a campground, shops and several places to eat around South Main Street. A park shuttle stop is nearby, which can make it easier to reach the canyon without driving farther into the park. Shuttle service is seasonal, so check its operating dates before building your day around it.

Reuben “Ruby” Syrett brought his family to southern Utah in 1916 and began hosting people who came to see Bryce Canyon. By 1919, the family had permission to build a small lodge called Tourist Rest near the canyon rim. In 1923, as Bryce Canyon became a national monument, Syrett moved the lodge to his ranch and named it Ruby’s Inn. The resort still marks the gateway where that early visitor business took root.

Dining ranges from Cowboy’s Buffet & Steak Room to the more casual Canyon Diner, which serves burgers, brats, sandwiches and salads. Tourist Rest Coffee Shop adds coffee, pastries and breakfast foods; Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill pairs a barbecue-style dinner with live country music. That range makes the resort useful when you want dinner, a quick bite or coffee close to your room, though restaurant schedules and menus can vary.

The lodging and services occupy several buildings, so a room in an outer building can mean a walk or short drive to the main lodge, dining or pool. Room comfort is mixed: some are clean and functional, while others feel dated or carry more noise. Ask about the building and room location if that matters for mobility, winter weather or sleep. Six Level 2 chargers are designated for overnight guests, and an eight-stall Tesla Supercharger is also on the property; confirm access and compatibility before relying on either. The nearby shuttle station has a restroom and wheelchair-accessible access, which does not establish public access to the inn’s guest facilities.
