Sunset Campground is a developed, 99-site campground in a ponderosa pine forest just west of Sunset Point. Its three loops suit different setups: Loop A is primarily for RVs, while Loops B and C are tent-only. It's a practical base for exploring the Bryce Amphitheater rim; expect trees and campground roads, not a hoodoo view from every campsite.
Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill. There are no electrical, water or sewer hookups. Loop A has two accessible sites, 223 and 224, though wheelchair access across the campground is limited. Potable water and a seasonal dump station are near North Campground, not at individual sites.
Restrooms are available, but the listed toilet type is inconsistent. Check the current campground details if portable versus flush toilets matters to you.
The seasonal park shuttle stops at the campground entrance, making it easy to reach Sunset Point and nearby rim trails without moving your vehicle. This is the closest campground in the park to many of the popular trails that begin and end at Sunset Point. A roofed kiosk at the entrance has campground information and maps.
