Guide
Peekaboo is a two-site vehicle camp on Salt Creek/Horse Canyon Road in The Needles. It suits a backcountry trip with a high-clearance, low-range 4WD; treat it as an overnight destination, not a casual campsite detour. The drive from The Needles Visitor Center is about 45 minutes, and each site allows up to 10 people and 3 vehicles.
There’s no water or toilet, so bring your own human-waste system; don’t bury waste or trash. Pets aren’t allowed on Needles backcountry roads, even in vehicles. Prehistoric rock art is nearby, though its exact panel locations aren’t identified for the camp.
