Trail guide
South Bridle Loop is a 1.6-mile circuit just north and east of Brecksville Stables in Brecksville Reservation. It suits a short outing if you are already in this part of the park. The 1.6 miles is the complete loop, not an out-and-back. Plan around an hour with stops; no official walking time or grade is published.
This loop is designated for horses, and riders use the same route. Hiking is encouraged across the reservation, but permission is not spelled out for every segment of this bridle loop. Check posted signs at the stable access before setting off if you need confirmed walking access. If you do go, give horses room to pass.
Mapped segments include gravel and dirt, but the footing has not been checked on the ground. Elevation samples put the lowest and highest points about 90 feet apart; no official elevation-gain figure is published. Dog access on this loop is also not confirmed. Where dogs are allowed in the park, keep them on a leash no longer than eight feet.
