Triple Arches is a three-arch masonry structure carrying Going-to-the-Sun Road across gaps in a steep mountainside. It is a quick drive-by landmark rather than a developed stop, and it can be easy to miss while you are watching the road.

Built in 1928, each cement-rubble masonry arch spans 16 feet. The arches support about half the roadway, avoiding the need to cut away as much of the mountainside or build high retaining walls. A construction record labels the site Station 102 and identifies it as the feature now known as Triple Arches.

A broad side view makes the three openings easiest to pick out; from the immediate approach, they can disappear into the cliffside road. If you stop for a photo, use only a safe, established pullout. A dedicated viewing turnout at the arches has not been verified, so plan on seeing them from the drive.

The arches sit on the alpine section of Going-to-the-Sun Road, which opens as snow is cleared and typically becomes fully open by early July. That high section closes seasonally, and weather can close open stretches. Check current road conditions and vehicle-size rules before you set out; vehicles or combinations over 21 feet long or 8 feet wide are prohibited on the stretch between Avalanche Creek and Rising Sun.
