An amenity block exists at Bird Rock, and the local coast and parks authority finalized an upgrade design in August 2023 (two all‑gender toilets, solar lighting, a drinking fountain and a dog water bowl) with construction anticipated in 2024. Bring water and sun/wind protection as there’s no café on site.
Safety
This is an unfenced clifftop environment—stay on formed tracks and keep well back from edges, especially in strong winds. Sections of nearby beach and track have closed temporarily in the past due to cliff cracks, then reopened; conditions can change after storms.

Sunrise and late afternoon (golden hour) light up the cliffs and sea for the best photos. Weekends late morning to early afternoon are busiest; weekdays are generally quieter. It’s open 24/7, but daylight visits are the sweet spot for views and safety.
