Point Addis Lookout“You're coming up on Point Addis Lookout, where sandy coves curve beneath the coastal headlands. I'd stop for the clifftop views even if you don't want a longer walk.”

Trail guide
The Anglesea Heath section of the Surf Coast Walk is a one-way walk from Point Addis Carpark to Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park. The mapped route is about 7.9 km (4.9 miles) and takes roughly two to two and a half hours. Published estimates differ: one gives 7.3 km and another mapped listing gives 6.42 km; the detailed line between these endpoints is closer to 7.9 km, so plan for the longer distance. Arrange a pickup in Anglesea or expect about 15.9 km if you walk back to your car.
From Point Addis, the route reaches the beach and follows the sand before climbing toward the Red Rocks cliff face. Sand gives way to formed track, with short steep hills and rugged steps. It is a moderate coastal walk rather than a level beach stroll, and the stepped climbs make a steady pace more realistic than a fast one.
The path continues past Hurst Road carpark and along the southern edge of Eumeralla Scout Camp, through low coastal heath and wind-shaped forest. At Inverlochy, the cliffs open to an ocean view. The route finishes beside Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park. The point-to-point shape is the main planning issue; there is no confirmed drinking-water stop along the route, so carry what you need for the full walk.
Point Addis is part of Wadawurrung Sea Country. Parks Victoria recognizes the Wadawurrung people's continuing connection to the area's land and waters and their role in caring for Country.
