Trail guide
This ticketed rainforest walk starts at Otway Fly Visitor Centre. The connected mapped line saved here is a 1.51-mile loop, with a typical visit of about one hour and an easy-to-moderate feel. It links forest paths to a raised canopy circuit. The distance is unsettled: the operator lists 1.9 km, this mapped line is about 2.4 km, and a regional map lists 2.5 km return from the car park. No official route map confirms which forest links are inside the ticket, so check the included circuit at the Visitor Centre.
The metal walkway is about 600 m long and rises 25–30 m above the forest floor. It gently sways with the canopy. The 47 m Spiral Tower and the cantilever above Young’s Creek are the distinctive stops. The mapped line includes a short named bridge branch and returns along it; treat the exact paid route line as provisional until the operator confirms it. At the cantilever, frame the projecting deck against the trees below to show the height.
The elevated section has grated flooring and stairs. The Spiral Tower is stair-only; the operator suggests retracing the walkway if you want to avoid those tower stairs. A courtesy cart may help between the Visitor Centre and the walk start, but availability varies and it is not wheelchair accessible.
The main car park on Phillips Track has space for more than 200 vehicles and is about a 300 m walk to the Visitor Centre. Accessible parking is about 50 m from the centre. The Visitor Centre café has a takeaway menu with some gluten-free and vegan options; it is a separate stop from the walkway. Guide and assistance animals are permitted, but the ordinary pet rule was not established, so ask before bringing a pet.
