Trail guide
Blue Spruce Walk is a short, point-to-point gravel path alongside the Gellibrand River in the Stevensons Falls day-use area. The mapped branch is about 0.16 mile (roughly 260 m) one way between a junction near the picnic area and the point where the visitor paths meet again. Turn back for about 0.32 mile, or pair it with the adjoining Redwoods Boardwalk for a small loop. The park doesn't publish a Blue Spruce-specific length or grade, so treat the distance as approximate. Allow about 10 minutes for the one-way link, plus time for the return or the boardwalk loop. It's a quick riverside detour while you're already here; it isn't the route to the falls itself.
The surface is compacted gravel and the path runs beside the river through tree cover, opening briefly near the shared day-use paths. At the junction, Blue Spruce is the riverside choice; it reconnects with the neighbouring path farther along. The segment is short and straightforward underfoot, but its own step count and accessibility classification aren't published. For the redwood grove, take the Redwoods Boardwalk; for the waterfall viewing platforms, continue on the separate Stevensons Falls walk.
Park at Stevensons Falls Car Park and follow the paths from the picnic area to the Blue Spruce junction. Toilets and picnic facilities are at the day-use area, not along the short path. Dogs are allowed at the site, and no booking or entry fee is listed. If you're choosing just one short walk here, the Redwoods Boardwalk gives you the redwood stand; Blue Spruce is the river-side alternative.
