Three trails leave from the campground. Berry Hill Trail climbs the low, rocky knob over 1.5 kilometres return, gaining 92 metres to several viewpoints over the Long Range Mountains and the patchwork of forest, ponds and bogs on the coastal lowlands. After the last ice age, when sea levels were higher, the knob stood as an island; wave-polished rocks from about 10,000 years ago remain on its flanks. Berry Hill Pond Trail is a two-kilometre loop around wooded pond shores. Parks Canada suggests looking for beaver signs such as lodges, dams and fresh cuttings, but sightings are not guaranteed.

The facilities include a kitchen shelter, flush toilets, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, a playground, kiosk and dump station. Each site has a fire pit. Serviced sites have water and electricity. One serviced site is listed as accessible, though its access route and features are not described in detail. The wooded setting and short hikes make it easy to take a walk without driving somewhere else first.
