Ocean View Hotel is a waterfront hotel on Main Street in downtown Rocky Harbour, with some harbour-view rooms and three venues for food and drink. It works well as a base if you want dinner, an easy walk by the water and evening entertainment in one stop. The hotel has been a Rocky Harbour landmark since 1971; it began as a small family-run inn and grew alongside tourism in Gros Morne.

Oceans Dining Room sits on the second floor, where wide windows look across the harbour toward Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse. The hotel’s dining venues serve regional seafood, and the Anchor Pub’s lobster roll comes with fries. The pub is on the main floor, with indoor seating and a deck beside the water. During the season, the hotel hosts Kitchen Parties and the Anchors Aweigh show, adding live entertainment to an overnight stay. The hotel stands beside Rocky Harbour’s waterfront walkway, with village cafés and gift shops nearby. It’s an easy place to stretch your legs after a day on the road or to walk down to the shore before dinner. Guests have complimentary Wi-Fi, and a lift connects the first and second floors. The hotel lists ocean-view, semi-ocean-view and garden-view rooms, so a harbour view isn’t guaranteed in every room. Choose the view category deliberately if looking across the water matters to you. The dining room is another good place to take in the harbour, with the lighthouse across the bay as evening falls. This is a useful overnight or dinner-and-show stop; for a quick look at the waterfront, the waterfront walkway is the simpler option.
