The Beaver’s Orange Teeth“Beavers have orange front teeth, and the color comes from iron in their enamel. That iron helps strengthen the teeth for cutting wood. Beavers occur along the river here, though you might never catch one at work.”

Guide
This is a basic roadside access, with parking described near a single-lane bridge and room to leave a vehicle. There are no on-site facilities, so plan on no restrooms, drinking water or food here.
The New River is a warm-water fishery, with smallmouth bass among its more abundant fish. Spring and fall, plus early or late in the day, are broad river-wide fishing suggestions rather than a guarantee at this specific access. Keep 100 feet from a boat launch or take-out while watercraft are using it.
