More about Flick Creek Campground

Flick Creek Campground is a two-site backcountry camp on the northeast shore of Lake Chelan, 3.5 miles from Stehekin Landing along the Lakeshore Trail. There is no road access; reach it by boat or on foot. It suits a simple overnight along the lake, not a drive-up campground.

What you getOne of the two sites has a large shelter.

One of the two sites has a large shelter. At camp you’ll find a vault toilet, bear-proof food lockers, and a picnic table. There is no potable-water tap or food service, so bring provisions and treat lake water by filtering or boiling it. Camps are first-come, with no reservations.

Plan for the lakeLake levels can affect whether boats can reach the docks: the camps may be inaccessible by boat…

Lake levels can affect whether boats can reach the docks: the camps may be inaccessible by boat when Lake Chelan drops below 1,096 feet. That risk is greatest from December through May, when the lake is typically low. Check conditions before relying on a dock. Private motorboats using the docks need a federal permit from May 1 through October 31.
