A true unplug-and-exhale base right on Lake Chelan, the lodge sits a minute from the landing in roadless Stehekin. It’s the most convenient hub in this remote corner of the park—close to the dock, shuttle pickups, and lakeshore views—so you can spend your energy on trails and water time instead of logistics.

There are 28 rooms in a few buildings, plus kitchen units, standalone cabins, and a larger lake house that sleeps up to 12. Expect TV-free, fan-cooled rooms; many have decks or water views. Kitchens (in select units) come stocked with cookware and basics, and some units include ovens. On-site perks include a self-serve laundry, a Recreation Center with cable TV, a pool table, and board games (open 8 am–10 pm), and a lakeside lounge space for reading or playing games.

Dining and Store

An on-site restaurant serves in high season, with indoor window seating and an outdoor deck that looks west for sunset. The adjacent General Store carries groceries and essentials during the main season, with a scaled-down mini-store the rest of the year. Because everything arrives by boat or plane, selection can be limited—plan accordingly.

Getting There and Getting Around

Stehekin isn’t road-accessible. Most visitors arrive by passenger ferry or seaplane, and the lodge is steps from the landing, which makes arrivals and departures painless. There’s a local shuttle bus service from the lodge area to key valley stops and trailheads. Check-in is at 3 pm (luggage storage is available if you’re early), and check-out is 10:30 am.

Operations are seasonal. The restaurant and general store typically run mid-May to mid-October; outside that window, a mini-store operates and only certain kitchen units remain available. This is a place to book well ahead for peak summer.
