High Bridge Campground is a backcountry overnight stop in the upper Stehekin Valley, about two miles beyond the High Bridge shuttle turnaround along the dirt road. It is a separate destination from the bridge and ranger station, so don't stop at the shuttle area and assume you've reached camp.

Plan for the last stretchStehekin has no road connection to the outside.

Stehekin has no road connection to the outside. In peak season the public shuttle turns around at High Bridge; arrange how you'll cover the final two miles before setting out. A backcountry permit is required. During peak season, obtain it before arriving in Stehekin; from October through May, the self-permit station is outside Golden West Visitor Center.
