Graves Creek Campground has 30 sites in the Quinault Rain Forest, beside a stream. It's a quiet base for forest camping and the long walk into Enchanted Valley; I'd make the drive for an overnight stay, not a quick roadside break.
Sites are first come, first served, with self-registration at the campground. It operates year-round, though severe weather can close it temporarily. There are pit toilets but no running water, so bring drinking water. Expect a long gravel approach; RVs and trailers aren't allowed on Graves Creek Road. Mobile service can be scarce, so don't count on it for the trip.
The Graves Creek trailhead starts the East Fork Quinault River Trail. Enchanted Valley is 13 miles in, with 1,700 feet of elevation change, so this is a substantial hike rather than a short campground wander.
Quinault Valley residents built the Enchanted Valley Chalet in the early 1930s. It served as a backcountry lodge for decades, then as a wilderness ranger station and emergency shelter; it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
