Black River – Steak & Pasta House is a sit-down steak-and-pasta restaurant near Entrance 2, along the D429. Choose it for a full meal centered on steak or handmade pasta. Guest parking is provided in front; there are 50 seats inside and another 50 on the terrace.
Cuts from the restaurant’s own butchery are dry-aged for up to 55 days. The menu names porterhouse, T-bone, rib-eye, rump steak and Chateaubriand; go for the beef if that’s what you came for.
Fresh pasta comes in seven shapes with eight sauces, from pesto and Bolognese to mushroom-and-leek or ratatouille. The drinks list includes local and international wines, mostly by the glass, plus Velebitsko pale and dark lagers on tap.
Visitor feedback is split. Some diners praise the steak, pasta and attentive staff; others describe the meal as poor value or report slow service.
