Korana Camp is a 35-hectare campground and bungalow site along the Korana River canyon near Čatrnja, about 6 km from Entrance 1 at Plitvice Lakes. It is a useful base if you want to stay outside the busy lakes area and have the choice of a tent, caravan, motorhome or bungalow. The grounds can accommodate up to 2,500 campers and include 47 bungalows, so expect a large, spread-out campground rather than a small stop beside the lakes.

There is plenty of tree cover and natural shade, especially toward the river, and campers can choose their own spot. The site is hilly, though, and pitches vary: some visitors find sloping or uneven ground, while flatter areas are also reported. Take a look around before setting up if a level pitch matters for your tent or vehicle. An organized bus to the lakes is advertised, but check the current schedule and terms before planning around it.

A landscaped 2 km path leads from camp to old Drežnik, the site of a defensive fortress dating to the 12th century. It gives you a worthwhile outing close to camp when you want a break from the lakes, and a glimpse of the area's older history.
