Mukinje and Vučnica Bistro“Mukinje village is coming up, with Vučnica Bistro beside the small ski slope. I'd stop here for the Lika pizza, made with local škripavac cheese, if you want a meal away from the lakeside paths.”

Guide
Mukinje Ski Resort is a compact ski and sledding area beside D429 in Mukinje, about 2.5 km from Park Entrance 2. It works best as an easy first ski outing or family sledding stop, not a day of long, varied descents. The slopes depend on natural snow, so check current operations before making a special trip.
One lift serves the hill. The park describes the ski trails as about 400 m long, with a gentle average gradient of 15%, making the area suitable for beginners, recreational skiers and children. On-site rentals cover skis, snowboards and several kinds of sled; sledders walk back up the hill after each run. Floodlit skiing is also offered on Fridays and Saturdays when the resort is operating.
Sledding is part of the appeal, but the hill can feel crowded when families share the slope. If you want space for fast, uninterrupted runs, choose a quieter time. Weekend parking has been reported as limited, so arriving early is the safer bet on a busy winter day.
Skiing has been part of Plitvice’s winter tourism since the 1980s. At the foot of the hill, Vučnica Bistro makes it easy to turn the outing into a meal. Its menu includes the Lika Pizza with local škripavac cheese, plus burgers, sausages and cakes made with basa cheese.
