Overview

Pullover stop at milepost ~74.4–74.5 on Skyline Drive, Loft Mountain Overlook sits around 2,450 feet and serves up a big, classic Shenandoah vista without any hiking. The National Park Service notes the view alignment toward County Line Mountain, which literally marks the boundary between Greene and Albemarle counties. The overlook’s view corridor has been maintained through the park’s Adopt an Overlook program, with support credited to Greene County and donors.
