Trail guide
Mirador Cardán is a short walk from Camping Pehoé to a beach on Lago Pehoé, with the Paine massif and Los Cuernos across the water. The mapped footpath is about 0.31 mile round trip; allow around 10 minutes, plus time at the shore. It is an easy stop for a big lake view, not a longer hike.
The route follows an unpaved footpath from the Camping Pehoé side down to the water, then climbs back the same way. It is a brief walk, but the return is uphill. The path is described as starting beside the campground on Y-150; day-visitor access and parking permission there were not confirmed, so check with Camping Pehoé before entering.
The path ends at a low beach viewpoint over Lago Pehoé toward Cordillera Paine and the horn-shaped Los Cuernos. Wind can be fierce at the shore. For a photo, keep a little of the rocky foreground in the frame with the lake and mountains behind it. Pets are not allowed in the national park.
