Kabetogama Lake Overlook is a short trail through pine forest to a bench with a view of Kabetogama Lake framed by trees, near Ash River Visitor Center. The round trip is 0.4 mile and usually takes 10 to 30 minutes, making it an easy lake-view stop rather than a longer hike.
The lake appears through the trees, with forested points and shoreline across the water. At the bench, frame the water with branches or a little shoreline in the foreground to give the view depth. Mosquitoes and deer flies can be bothersome, so bring repellent when insects are active.
