Dryweed Island area closure for bear activity
All 17 campsites, houseboat sites, and day-use sites on Dryweed Island and surrounding islands remain closed through the end of September 2026 because of increased bear activity. - Do not plan overnight camping, houseboat stays, or day use at these locations while the closure remains in effect. - Closed locations: Breakwater Cove (R6), Dryweed Island (R11), Harrison Bay HB (R44), Makinen Point (R53), Harrison Bay (R61), Mio Beach (R64), Stones Point (R67), Loon Cove (R71), Rock Shelf (R72), Dryweed Island North (R73), Harrison Bay SW HB (R75), Harrison Bay SE HB (R76), Dryweed Island S HB (R82), Lyle Mine Island (R93), Tango Channel (R101), Channel View (R100), and Harrison Bay E day use (R107).
