Skinner Point Lookout is a coastal viewpoint on the Abel Tasman Coast Track between Goat Bay and Tōtaranui. It earns a pause if you're walking this stretch: the path climbs steeply around an old landslide at Goat Bay to the lookout above Skinner Point, then drops toward Tōtaranui. This is part of a walking stage, not a drive-up stop.

From here, Tōtaranui's long beach and Goat Bay open below, with Waiharakeke Bay and Awaroa Head across the water. Keep the curve of sand, blue water and wooded headland in one frame; that sweep is what makes this viewpoint more than another beach photo.

There is no separate official visit time for the lookout, so count it as part of your Coast Track day. At Tōtaranui, the campground has six amenities blocks and a seasonal camp office with snack items and small supplies. If you're driving there to start the walk, the final 12 km of road is narrow, winding and unsealed.
